Accurate, concise and definitive debunking of the claims of Iranian nuclear danger--an important book

Peter Oborne and David Morrison have provided an invaluable public service in this book. The book is factual from beginning to end, and has the virtue of brevity. Anyone reading it will be well informed about the current standoff between the European great powers plus the United States and Iran on the Iranian nuclear issue. Oborne and Morrison correctly identify the concern over Iran's nuclear program as essentially propagandistic and without merit. They demonstrate definitively that there is no evidence whatever that Iran has a nuclear weapons program, and claims that it does are apparently designed to gin up support for attacks on the Iranian government.

The truth about the Iranian nuclear program and why it took so long for the West to strike a deal with Tehran

Mr Oborne's pure strategic logic shines through this small but very informative book. The years that followed after this book was published confirmed in the most outstanding way the quality of the arguments presented. The recent deal between the 5+1 team of powers and Iran regarding the last's nuclear program is based on the solid reasoning that is analysed in this book. The author builds his arguments on a solid base, giving valuable information on what the NPT Treaty is all about, what it entails, which powers are exempt and why, which other powers are not signatories and why none bothers to put pressure on them to follow the path of nuclear disarmament etc. It's also very clear why it took the West more than 12 years to reach an agreement despite the fact that Iran made brave concessions along the way and accepted most of the terms that the US demanded. It's obvious that the real problem with Iran is NOT its nuclear program, neither the verification terms, but the very fact that the Iranians who are a clever people, demographically vibrant, with ancient culture, are on the rise and tend to become the hegemons of the greater Middle East area. The crucial question now is what Israel is going to do. Is it willing to live with an ascedant and mighty Iran, or will it strike militarily in the near future knowing fully well that in this case the US can not remain idle?

About the Author
Paul Martin Lester is a tenured, full professor of communications at California State University, Fullerton. After receiving an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and working as a photojournalist for The Times-Picayune in New Orleans, Lester received his Master's from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. from Indiana University in mass communications. He is the author or editor of VISUAL JOURNALISM: A GUIDE FOR NEW MEDIA PROFESSIONALS (with Christopher R. Harris); IMAGES THAT INJURE: PICTORIAL STEREOTYPES IN THE MEDIA, Second Edition (with Susan Ross); DESKTOP COMPUTING WORKBOOK, PHOTOJOURNALISM AN ETHICAL APPROACH; and THE ETHICS OF PHOTOJOURNALISM. In addition, Lester has published numerous articles in major communications journals. He has given keynote speeches, panel discussions, presentations and workshops throughout the United States and in Australia, Canada, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Lester's areas of expertise include e-learning, photojournalism practice, mass media and professional ethics, desktop and Internet publishing, visual communications, and new communications technologies.

Great Read. Great Examples. Great Text!

In addition to my graduate course on communications by design, this book was enlightening and a good read; clarity, examples, and history on each of the elements of visual communications. Rented this book for class, but will be purchasing it soon as a superior reference guide.

Irritating Repetition

The author's writing style is rather irritating. He repeats himself over and over in different words. It does explain the topics "OK," but I think I learn more in class than I ever will from this book.

simple flash cards with poses pictured and not much detail on how to get into or hold each but it comes with a small book that gives a little more info. some of the cards are "repeats" because a pose may be included in Warm Up, Sun Salutation, Standing Poses and Finishing Poses.

There are moments in time when complete silence or "music without instruction" is desirable. Cyndi Lee has created a tiny box of cards to promote yoga, all while giving you a choice in your musical tastes. If you have the OM Yoga in a Box Basic Level, you could use the included CD or choose your own relaxing music. Even if you have the OM Yoga in a box set, you might want to purchase this smaller box for traveling. You also get the benefit of a booklet since there isn't an instructional CD in this particular OM Yoga Flash Card Set.

The poses are divided into 7 sections:

Warm-up
Sun Salutation
Standing Poses
Seated Poses
Backbending
Finishing Poses
Relaxation Poses

To enjoy this tiny flash card set, you will also need a yoga mat and a belt or yoga strap. To make your workout more comfortable, try putting a folded towel in the center of your mat and keep a blanket or comforter nearby for the final relaxation stage.

The poses are featured on one side of the cards, while the sketches and explanations give more detailed information on the other. When I first saw "yoga flashcards" I can't say I was overly enthusiastic about the idea, but now I love this method. Not only do you have the pictures on the ground when you are facing the ground, you can complete an entire yoga practice in complete silence or with calming music.

Cyndi Lee is the director of the OM yoga center where she teaches hatha yoga. She has been teaching yoga for over 20 years, but her pictures look like she is ageless. Her beauty represents the deeply calming benefits of yoga. Her work has been featured in Shape, New York Magazine, Yoga Journal, Elle, Forbes, Newsweek and Self. Good yoga tool

This won't teach you how to do the poses - just gives you a set of flash cards so you can make up a new set of them for a workout. The cards are color coded - yellow for warm up, green for seated poses, mauve for backbends, dark blue for finishing up etc. There are good pictures on each card as well. Lots of variety of poses.
